THE BROADWAY BRIEF - April 18, 2026

Yesterday was a split card. We went 2-2 on The Brief with Yankees -1.5 and Diamondbacks -1.5 getting home, while Guardians ML and Rockies +1.5 missed. Not great, not terrible...just another reminder that this game is about staying even-keeled and moving on to the next board.

As for today, there is not a whole lot in the NBA setting off alarms for me. Nothing is really screaming from the board. I love the Knicks ML, but I am not laying -225 on it and pretending that is some gift. That price is fat as hell for a playoff game. On the other side, I could definitely see the Hawks hanging inside +5.5, but that one feels like it could break a few different ways depending on how the game starts. That may end up being more of a live-bet spot than something worth forcing pregame.

So today’s card is less about chasing every angle and more about staying disciplined. No need to manufacture action just because the board is there. We’ve got a few spots worth talking through, a couple looks with real value, and the rest can wait until the market gives us something better. Let’s get into it.
